Dear Parents/Guardians, As a bank holiday weekend and because we were also due to be off on Tuesday, this week's lessons will be available on the app and website from Tuesday evening. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has announced that the academic year has now ended. Schools will not return until September. While schools are physically shut, we will continue out the school year to the end of June following distance learning as we have for the last number of weeks. We at St Aidan’s want the best for every one of our pupils and will support our pupils' learning as best we can. I would like to acknowledge how stressful and challenging this time has been for the entire school community and thank everyone for their continued support. Parents and guardians have done brilliantly keeping everything going, with our teachers providing varied and interesting learning for the children. You are all fantastic partners in education, and I must pay tribute to you for everything you have coped with since our closure. Pupils need to keep engaging with their stream timetable as best they can. As parents, please keep in contact with teachers. Staff emails are available if you have any questions or concerns, or if your son/daughter is struggling with their schoolwork. Staff will continue to check in with homes and will provide extra support where necessary. Some family circumstances may have changed. Should this be the case, please email staidanstallaght@gmail.com or contact our HSCL, Ms.Collins, on 0863060410 in strict confidence. We will endeavour to support you in the best way we can. Is mise le meas, Mr. Hayes.

Confirmation 2020.
23rd Apr 2020 4:19 pm
Dear Parents & Guardians, It is with sincere regret that Confirmation Masses/ceremonies due to take place during May are postponed indefinitely. Thank you to teachers and staff who have worked so hard preparing the children. The parish is, of course, committed to facilitating the reception of these Sacraments for the children. They are not in a position to say when or under what circumstances this will take place. This depends entirely on when government restrictions on large gatherings might be lifted. Parents can continue their child's preparation by praying together each day, reading bible stories, or using the school or myriad of online. Once again thank you for your time, commitment and patience. Sincerely, Fr. PAT McKinley.
