Green Schools
The whole school is involved in the Green Schools programme. To date, we have been awarded two flags. We were awarded our first flag for our tremendous effort in reducing waste and litter and our second flag was awarded for conserving energy around the school. We are currently working on achieving our third flag which is based on the theme of water. We have a hard-working Green Team in the school. There is one pupil from each class and three teachers on the Green Team. The Green Team meet each week, at lunch time, to monitor the work of classrooms on the theme and discuss further actions to be taken to achieve our water flag.
St. Aidan’s School Garden
Pupils have the opportunity to learn outdoors in the school section of the community garden beside our school. They learn about nature and science while planting and caring for the garden.
